1 package of store-bought or homemade pizza dough (thin crust style)
1/2 cup Sauz Pasta Sauce (any variety, but we recommend the Hot Honey Marinara)
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup Freestyle Snacks Olives (Green or Kalamata, halved)
1/4 cup fresh basil, torn
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
HOW TO FREESTYLE IT
1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside. The key to a crispy thin crust is cooking at a high temperature.
2. Prepare the Pizza Dough
Roll out your pizza dough on a lightly floured surface until it’s about 1/8-inch thick. If you prefer a rectangular shape, you can roll the dough to fit a baking sheet.
Transfer the dough onto parchment paper for easy handling.
3. Add Sauz Pasta Sauce
Spread a thin, even layer of Sauz Pasta Sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.
4. Top with Cheese & Olives
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce.
Scatter the Freestyle Snacks Olives on top. The olives add a briny punch that complements the rich sauce and cheese.
5. Bake
Drizzle a little olive oil over the pizza, then carefully transfer it (with parchment paper) to the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
6. Finish & Serve
Remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle torn basil leaves on top for a burst of freshness. Add a pinch of red pepper flakes if you like a bit of heat.
